Limited Capacity filling up

Do you know how to do some cool tech stuff but just don’t have enough time to get into classrooms to show teachers how to do it all? What are schools crawling with? Students! Imagine building a group of student technology leaders, a Geek Squad if you will, that you can train as your own personal minions to get those skills flowing through the hallways of your campus! This session will explain how to build digital capacity in a small group of student leaders who can share knowledge with other students and even teachers through a badge-based certification program. This session will explain how one campus grew their technology & PD departments while awakening future career possibilities in the minds of twelve middle-school students. The session will also explore the possibilities of student-run help desks and the potential for students to obtain Google certifications. This session is appropriate for any educator willing to share his or her skills with students while inspiring a heart for service.
