This session is perfect for middle school and high school math teachers. Learn how Google tools as well as simple white boards can impact learning. Bring any device that can access and utilize Google Docs, Sheets, and Presentations. You will leave with the ability to ditch the textbook and understand how to give good parameters to get problems that are more thoughtful than any textbook problem you can find.

As someone who believes time is best spent interacting with actual humans, Leann wants to show you all the best time-saving grading hacks using technology so you can focus on what matters - authentic student learning and building relationships with your students. When a teacher has written or typed, “Always capitalize i” and “Where is your source?” 150 times, she (or he!) may be too tired to comment on the actual content of the paper. In this session, we’ll start with how to create and share Google Doc templates in Classroom, then how to use Google Forms Auto-Grading Quizzes, then how to use the Permanent Clipboard Add-on to facilitate commenting on Google Docs; then we’ll move into the Doc Appender Add-On to grade student writing efficiently. Attendees of this session will follow along on their own devices. Laptops or Chromebooks are helpful, but not required. Attendees will also leave with access to step-by-step instructions for each tool.
This is a 2-hour session. 

During this presentation, participants will have the opportunity to explore available interactive multimedia presentations and learn how to upload their own content. Additionally, we will explore the available tools to add interactive elements and data gathering options to these presentations.
