Dr. Derrick Mears is the Coordinator of the Educational Technology and Educational Specialist Programs in the Department of Curriculum and Instruction at the University of Arkansas. His area of expertise is in the integration of technology into K-12 classrooms and in curriculum and assessment development. Prior to moving into higher education, Dr. Mears was a K-12 Middle and High School Science, Physical Education and Gifted Education Teacher for 12 years in the Kansas City, Missouri area.
